Regina Romero was elected to a four-year term on the Tucson City Council in November 2007. A southern Arizona native raised in a farm-working family in Somerton, Romero has a history of hard work for families and neighborhoods.
Romero’s first action was to focus on Tucson’s future – our kids. She directed a new task force for the City’s popular after-school recreation program, KIDCO, to research adding a creative curriculum/educational component. The goal is to work with families to show measurable success in physical fitness, homework, languages, math and science.
